Caterina Savoca

Caterina joined Australian Philanthropic Services in April 2019. She has over ten years’ philanthropic experience working for cultural institutions in the UK and Australia.

Caterina’s passion in philanthropy was sparked whilst undertaking her Masters in the material culture of Italian Renaissance confraternities; learning about the impact of collective giving to improve social outcomes.

Her combined interest in philanthropy and design led Caterina to work in philanthropy for various galleries and museums throughout London including the Royal Academy of Art, Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Caterina holds tertiary qualifications in arts, law and history of design.  Most recently she worked at the Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands where she led the capital campaign for the Sydney Garden’s 200th Birthday project, The Calyx.

Away from her desk you will find Caterina on the scent of good coffee. Caterina enjoys fitness training, visiting exhibitions, and chasing after her two little girls.
