This give list provides a range of not-for-profit organisations working to support people affected by the earthquake on 28 March 2025. Two large earthquakes hit Myanmar with epicentres near the nation’s second largest city, Mandalay – the first 7.7 magnitude followed by a 6.4 magnitude in Sagaing. Strong tremors were felt across the region, more than 1,600 people have been killed and more than 3,400 injured. This is only likely to grow as the rescue operation continues.

The charities below are providing a wide range of emergency support including food, water, shelter and trauma support for people in urgent need.

While the entities listed below are all known to APS, we do not conduct a detailed analysis of their financial position and governance ahead of their inclusion in this list. Each charity’s audited financials are available to view on the ACNC website.

Please note, this is not an exhaustive list of the not-for-profit organisations working in this space. As with all emergency appeals, should a donation be received and not be needed in Myanmar, the charity will apply it to similar situations and areas of need.
